The Seattle Times ran a story on the aggravating sunken dry docks sitting off shore in Renton, a few hundred yards from the new Seahawks headquarters.
“We can’t afford to educate our children, but we can waste money on things like this,” Renton Mayor Denis Law said with disgust.
Good Riddance
When I went on a tour of the Renton Shoreline for the planning commission the dry docks stood out like a sore thumb. I remember asking when they would go and I’m glad they will be gone this summer.
Re: Good Riddance
Speaking of the Renton shoreline…
Is that really cool floating walkway that was going to connect the Ceder River park with Coulon park still on the table?
Re: Good Riddance
That’s a good question. I’ll see what I can find out.
Re: Good Riddance
Thank you!
Sam Chastain Trail
That’s dead. Muckleshoots and Boeing killed it (I, personally, blame our previous mayor and her zealous attempt at an arena both of those entities opposed).
We got a bike lane on Logan as a replacement.
Re: Sam Chastain Trail
The Muckleshoots and Boeing?
F… the Muckleshoots. Did they think that it would get in the way of their gabbleing income?
