No, not the Landing. It will be at 305 Burnett…where Jubilante used to be. Gene Sens, who owns “The Red House” restaurant across the street from this location, is a partner in this new restaurant. He is very excited about it. It will no-doubt be excellent.

yes this is very exciting! I dont really know how to reach you other then posting on here, but randy, i heard that there whole foods was supposed to go into the landing, but has dropped. Since then, they have finally got trader joes to commit. Any word on this? also can you please do another photo tour of the landing anytime soon? id appreciate it 🙂 This new sushi place looks awesome! im excited.
I will check on this. I know we have been courting Trader Joes for quite some time (it seems to be the most frequently requested store), but so far I have not heard that Trader Joes decided to sign on.
I will see if we can tease any public information out of them, and I’ll let you know as soon as we get anything.
Meanwhile, it’s an encouraging rumor!
Overall, the Landing is really starting to attract a great line of shops…stay tuned for more announcements.
Whole Foods
I head the Whole Foods rumor from one of the local grocery stores.
I’m not sure if I’m excited to see a Whole Foods – between GreenFresh, Minklers, Thriftway, Maralyns Produce, Viet Wah we have everything and then some.
A Trader Joes would be great – I’ve heard that TJ’s is actually good for business for the other high-end grocery stores that are close.

just wondering, I drove by the landing and saw that the future phase of development across the street from target and Joes is for sale? Does this mean harvest partners will not be building there? some other developer will have to devlope that land?

Right. Harvest Partners and Boeing apparently could not reach a mutually agreeable deal on the property, so it is up for sale.
It’s worth a lot with all of the adjacent construction, so I am sure whoever buys it will plan something very nice. We are waiting to see what happens.

Prediction: Boeing will redevelop the property back to industrial use for a new Poseidon (potential USN anti-sub plane) line. The precedent was set when they re-leased the city airport land they’d given back to the city.
