Tuesday, March 11 is Election Day for the Renton School District.
Three important funding measures are on the ballot to allow the district to continue to increase student achievement by hiring and maintaining high-quality teachers, funding research-proven programs, and making continued improvements in technology and at school buildings.
Many voters throughout the districts vote by mail. Absentee ballots must be mailed by Tuesday. Polling places are opened on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here to find your polling place.
Both the Education Maintenance and Operations Replacement Levy and the Technology Levy can pass with a simple majority; however, the School Building Improvement Bond still needs a supermajority of the vote. That means 60 percent of those who vote must approve the School Improvement Bond.
