Obama wowed an overflowing crowd at Key Arena today.
Governor Gregoire extended her endorsement to him this morning. This race is really creating a tug-of-war for democrats in our state, but I predict Obama will ultimately win more of our state’s delegates.
As for me, I’ve decided I’ll be supporting Barack Obama at tomorrow’s caucus. I really like him, and I think he will make a great president.
YAY!!!
Randy, you’re a good guy. I need to wake you up somehow, but it will take some time. Do you really think he can run this country? Look up Obama and corruption on google. You must also ask yourself if you truly think he can fight terrorism and handle the stress of running the country. I’ll admit that he is a great motivational speaker, but what has he done and what does he stand for? He is too young and inexperienced. He rarely takes a hard stand on any issues.I can go on and on and on, but I won’t. Who do you prefer for governor of our state? Are you open minded on that?
Yes, I remain pretty open-minded. I’ve always considered myself a centrist Democrat, but I was more than a little irritated with some of our party politics and our governor over the last few years. So, I’m making up my mind as I go.
I used to like McCaine more than I like him now… he has been hitting the 250,000 of us aerospace company folks a bit hard, over and over again, for the poor judgement of a few at the top six years ago.
As for Hillary… I’m completely ready for a woman president…. I have been ever since I could vote. But I think she may just have too much baggage for this race at this time.
I always thought you had an open mind, and I appreciate that. You are definitely an honest man and an independent thinker. I was getting worried for a minute. I lean right, but consider myself a conservative more than a republican. My party has disappointed me and I quit donating to the RNC and donate to the individual I believe in. I believe in common sense, not partisan politics. McCain is not a conservative in my mind. He was not my first or second choice, but I will vote for him for the security of our country. I have inside info of what these terrorists are planning for our country and it’s not pretty. We need to continue what we are doing now to avoid any further attacks. I don’t think Obama can do that. If he gets the nod and has to debate McCain, I don’t think he’ll fare to well.
Not to gloat… but the he first women president will be probably be a Republican.
It will be someone like Margaret Thatcher, a kick ass iron women that is makes grown men doubt their own testosterone production.
Not the shrill harpy the Democrats are intent on running, and losing, with.
The really funny thing is that all the Republicans have spilled the beans and have told our Democrat friends that Hillary would be a cake-walk to run against – and yet they keep heading for the cliff.
If Hillary gets the nod, maybe us Republicans could pick Jeb Bush just as a joke to drive our Nader loving friends completely foaming-at-the-mouth appoplectic.
It should be pretty clear to everyone by now that ANYONE can “run” this country, even a silver spoon-fed frat boy turned cowboy with a tenuous grasp of the English language, provided a Cheney or a Rove is working behind the curtains. The important question is whether a president has the intellectual acumen and instincts to make well-reasoned decisions on his or her own, especially in times of crisis. Does Barrack Obama? I believe so. Example: in 2002, when it was almost treasonous to do so, Obama passionately opposed the war in Iraq. Whether you agree with him or not, it’s impossible to ignore his courage and foresight with regard to that decision.
Iraq was the right move and you are simply weak and wrong, no offense. Who was going to help these people that were being tortured? If I’m not mistaken, it was Saadam who violated the cease fire 17 times and continuously fired on our aircraft in the no fly zone. You are a typical liberal that thinks we can get along with everyone and be nice. Do you think that the terrorists are going to stop?
You’re an ignorant dolt, no offense.
Do you understand that we have created more terrorists by invading and occupying Iraq? Meanwhile, we have few resources to commit to dealing with the original stronghold of al Qaeda, Afganistan, which is now seeing a huge resurgence of the Taliban. Would that have happened if we weren’t hopelessly mired in Iraq?
I have no problem using force to protect our country or to bring true stability to the world, such as when we invaded Afghanistan after 9/11, or when we interceded in the Balkans.
Whatever happens in Iraq, we need to stop trying to prove at any cost that our initial actions there were justified. It’s not about being “weak.” It’s about being man or woman enough to admit you’re wrong.
You sanctiomounsy dolt…. I love how you liberals discount the 10 of thousands of Iraqis that were tortured & murdered. Oh, that right, USA is evil, murderous dictators that hate the USA are ok.
I take it back. You’re not a dolt, you’re a nut.
How about the tens of thousands of Americans that go hungry or without adequate housing or healthcare?
You know who I’m more concerned about than those people a half a world away? I’m more concerned about our own citizens. I’m more concerned about the disaster that is New Orleans. I’m more concerned about the disaster that is East St. Louis. I’m more concerned about the crisis our young black men are facing with the culture that they’re steeped in. I’m more concerned about the children that come to school hungry for food and for affection. I’m more concerned about the seniors that can’t afford prescription drugs and the Walmart worker who discovers that she has breast cancer and can’t afford the treatments. I’m more concerned about the burnout rate of our teachers that are supposed to inspire the next generation. I’m more concerned about the abysmal savings rate of the US population. I’m more concerned about the lack of connection many young people feel to their community. I feel like we should concentrate on solving these own problems at home through whatever means necessary, be they governmental or otherwise, so that a healed people in the next generation are prepared to go out and heal the rest of the world. But instead we focus billions of dollars on foreign aid and relief and wars to “liberate” other countries while our own people go hungry and spiritually unfed.
What I meant to say there before actually hitting “post” is that no, I’m not concerned about torture in Iraq and not entirely worried about the terrorists over there. Maybe if we could heal the wounds in our country and reduce their reasons to hate America, things might simmer down.
Obama ’08.

I’m just glad W never became baseball commissioner! 🙂

Re: W
I don’t know — that’s probably one thing he couldn’t screw up all that much. Besides, everyone’s supposed to hate the commish. Ideally, more than 30% of the people should like the prez.

Me two 😉 That’s an important job!
]even a silver spoon-fed frat boy turned cowboy with a tenuous grasp of the English language,
Yet…. I can’t help chuckle that the Democrats sill manage to lose against Bush. Twice.
The impotent rage against Bush is beginning to reflect more poorly on the complainers and less on Bush himself if they can’t rise up to the challenge.
Bush was lucky. Lucky to have been installed in office the first time by the Supreme Court, lucky to have capitalized upon 9/11, lucky to have been able to sell th war in Iraq using bogus claims, and of course, lucky to have had Cheney and Rove directing policy.
If the Democrats can’t win against a retarded monkey-boy, then it say more about Democrats that one would like.
One can’t blame “bad-luck” all the time, one eventually had to be accountable for their own actions. In this case, it was choosing Gore and Kerry to run.
Losing to Bush in the last two elections had little to do with the Democratic nominees’ weaknesses, but everything to do with going up against a massive Republican machine, along with its surrogates in big business, the Christian Right, and conservative talk radio. John Kerry’s loss, for instance, can be traced directly to the slimy tactics of the “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.” That’s not to say Kerry was a perfect candidate and didn’t make mistakes, but it’s hard to be held “accountable” for a loss when you’re viciously slandered by a group of thugs.
We’ll were going to have to agree to disagree.
Rush can’y hear and is hopped up on drugs, and nobody reads the Washington Post. It least without their lips moving. The Christian Right is busy pretending not to be gay.
In my opinion, the last two elections were the Democrats to lose. The primary system is a difficult process, as the skills necessary to win a party race are necessarily the ones that will win the general election – but still! Good god! Was Gore and Kerry the best you all could do?
If the Democrats can’t stand up to Rush Limbaugh, the Washington Post, and people who make their own cloths out of scraps – then that kinda sucks. For them.
I really didn’t expect to see Gov. Gregoire endorse Sen. Obama. That’s pretty cool.
It’s amazing how many people from across the political spectrum I’ve talked to that admire Sen. Obama. Has anyone else been surprised by support for him from their Republican friends and family members?
Tomorrow’s caucus ought to be quite an experience!
Everyone is hot on his motivational speaking, but can anyone here tell me what he has done or stands for? I think he is a decent guy, but do you really know where he stands. Think about it. He is going to have to fight terrorism, stay in Iraq, even though he says he won’t, and deal with Iran and N. Korea. He does not have the experience to do so. The line will be crystal clear this election.
I recommend you read Obama’s books.
The only thing crystal clear in this election is that John McCain will only continue America’s policy of militarism and isolationism. Are there fewer terrorists as a result of our unilateralism in Iraq? No, there are far more. The last thing we need is John McCain controlling our nuclear arsenal.
Listing to Obama reminds of a commercial for soap; very nice, makes me feel good, but he says absolutely nothing! We all want “change” for the better, what the hell does that mean? Can you image a commander and chief, telling our sworn enemies, that “just hang on for 12 months, and we will leave, and let you butcher and main!”” I like his tone, his voice, but he is an absolute moron. I know you Bush haters, blame America first, appeasers to those who would annihilate us, crown would like a young dynamic figure head, but damn, this is serious, and we need someone who understands the threat that has actually experience the ravages of war. Give me McCain, any day. Obama/Billary- Islamic Fascist best hope!
I love it! Those 2 frauds will beat each other up, until the convention, demonstrating just how radially liberal, dangersous they are. Meanwhile, McCain will shore up the party of national security, and watch as these idiots try to prove how far left they are! Bush may not be popular, but America is not ready to concede our way of life to a those who are extreme, socialist, liberals who hate America!
My preference- nominate Billary, very easy to motivate the base. I fear Obama, mainly because he talk good, and most Americans would rather watch American Idol, than disect the non sensical verbiage he spews,
“Rationale Person,” please have your husband take over the posting — you’re not doing yourself any favors here.
is it related to IQ?
Ever notice how the right wing “verbiage” (favorite word of the week, evidently) is so illiterate? Do they think spell check is a socialist conspiracy?

Ever notice that when petty people point out bad spelling that they are themselves deficient in some form as well?
Let me proceed to give you an education:
>>is it related to IQ? [Capitalize the beginning of sentences.]
I suggest that you get your limit your critiques of others spelling until you learn to capitalize the beginning of sentence like most people can do.
I’m a Rebublican, and while I disagree with Obama on a lot of fundamental issues – I trust him.
Kinda like the disaster that was Jimmy Carter – while he was a horrible president and is a borderline UN sycophant, he’d be welcome in my house.
