Hi Randy,
Would it be possible to get his email address? I noticed in his Livejournal profile that it’s listed as charlieconnor@livejournal.com; is there somewhere better to contact him?
Thank you!

My question to you and Mr. Conner is this, If Mr. Conner is successful in mitigating his neighbors concerns, great, but what will happen when the next guy shows up with a copter and decides not to be so nice? I would rather have city imposed restrictions, than have the next copter owner say ” If he can have one then I can have one and since there are no restrictions, I’ll fly when ever I want”. If Mr. Conner is willing to live with self imposed rules that are respectful then why can’t he accept these same rules being set by his local government?
And what if a house near him sells, and the new owner is disturbed by and opposed to his helicopter use (e.g. they sleep in the day and work at night). They get screwed. Allowing helicopters in residential neighborhoods is a bad precedent, especially in a city that has an airport.
What if he gets the permit, and then in the future gets a bigger noisier helicopter? Then what?
The public appeal hearing for the Temporary Use Permit has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 19, at 9 AM, before the hearing examiner in the Council Chambers.
