And below is an email where my council colleague (And Transportation Committee chair) Marcie Palmer directs our City Transportation Administrator to your concerns expressed on my blog.
Marcie’s note is on the bottom, Peter Hahn’s response is above it.
Subject: Re: Moving Transportation/Aviation Committee meeting to Nov. 28
Marcie,
The very reason that we asked to add this topic to be added to the
Committee is the concern that the community, and staff have. This has
never been taken lightly by the staff; that’s why we came to the full
council in April to begin this discussion. And following the Nov. 7
meeting with the community, we hired a traffic consultant to further
analyze the options and to describe to the council and to citizens what
the traffic pattern would look like under different alternatives.

Hello all-
Everybody better check out Randy’s blog for the comments coming fast and
furious about closing Duvall. “Some opposition” is more likely to be
wide-spread open hostility towards the idea. I hope there are going to
be an alternative or 2 because this is NOT looking good.

Julia,
Marcie and I spoke this afternoon, and she’ll be contacting you. She’s
thinking about moving the committee one week, mainly because of the
nearness to Thanksgiving.
Topics:
Briefing on Duvall Project Meeting and Detours
Airport Leases
Updates on Local and Regional Transportation issues
The leases would be the revision to the flow chart (inserting an early
committee check in) and “tweaks” that Ryan and GVA got the approval from
the committee to pursue.
The Duvall meeting would include an update on the Nov. 7 public meeting
at Hazen and a possible presentation by a traffic consultant on the
projected traffic impacts. While the city council tentatively approved
the closing of Duval earlier this year — the reason being the reduction
of the project from about 340 work days to 200 work days — some of the
public may still not like this and we can expect some opposition at the
Dec. 3 public hearing for the official closing.
Julia — Marcie thought that inviting King Parker to the Nov. 28 meeting
would be helpful since he attended the Nov. 7 public meeting on Duvall
project. Can you let me know how to reach him?
