Wet Land
We need a Wetland Foundation. A registered non-profit with you as chairman. (We could call it Small Group of Troublemakers.) Then we can start working to elect more people who are responsive and responsible- TO THE VOTERS! Imagine what that could be like.
Re: Wet Land
I heard that non-profits dont work in Renton…….it would actually be established for the trouble makers. I would ask Corman to speak about the quality of the engineering that will support the footings on the above homes. He is an engineer? On another point there will be an impact to wildlife now if they pump the water from the Lake over to the neighbor’s. Could the wetland foundation name the new lake? How does Blueberry Lake sound?
Blueberry Lake
The rock fill that was dumped in there was probably not legal. Does it have to be removed? Can there be permits to build on something like this? The neighbor’s lawyer said they can’t send the water on somebody else’s lot.
Re: Blueberry Lake
I wonder where they would pump it to. ya know I think the neighbor’s could tell them to tell the new owners to check the form 17 out on their newly aquired “bog house”. the “American dream” needs to tell them and disclose the pumping it too, that is according to real estate law. (18.85 RCW) that would be in addition to SEPA………..maybe the city could get off the hook for paying for it (the lawsuit) that way. Hey Randy, tell them its not the citizens fault because the “American dream” didnt fill in the form 17 properly. they would save me from paying for it with tax cash.
Anyone know what this property is turning into? By the look of it, seems to be another Adult-Group Home. There’s another one across from Kennydale Elementry which I think might also be another group home. Nice looking place though.
R-8 housing need not to be unsightly if done CORRECTLY, some of the division in kennydale looks just awful and I think it’s killing this creek. I actually saw a crayfish last year in the creek and DOT report also indicate it’s capable of supporting trouts (I-405 expansion scoping reports). It be a real shame that Renton allow it to be killed and filled over.
what are they doing now with the Blueberry Haven Short Plat?
I woke up this morning to more digging happening on the Blueberry Haven short plat. It appears they were setting up the utilities. I am wondering how they can be moving forward on the building process when there is an appeal happening for Dec. 5th? Is the city providing permits for all this even with the pending hearing date?
I was present for the Hearing Examiners review of this situation and full heartedly agree that if you walk by and see water in the creek on a daily/yearly basis one can discern that it runs year round, just as you could walk buy and see that there is water in Lake Washington. (Ok that isn’t word for word what he said, but it was very close)
I think it is disgraceful if the city lets them go ahead with building there without giving the stream the correct classification that it runs year round. I have photos to share but I can’t seem to get them to attach.
