Yay! Ken Griffey’s coming home!
This should add a spark to the team. It would be nice to see them get some momentum again.

I might actually start watching baseball again!
Go Mariners, good start to the season.
That should definitely help kick start April’s attendance (especially after last year), but they will need good baseball to carry them through the season into September (and October).

Yay!
[Some Person] is going [Do Something] to a ball. He will then [Do Something] in a [Local Stadium]. [Some Person] is a hero, and will get [Large Amount Of Money].
Meanwhile:
Big Brothers and Big Sisters could use some of us to actually play a ball games with some children that could use a bit of help:

RentonBen,
Stop being such a killjoy! No one is saying that BBBS is not important but with times being the way they are folks need a bit of a release and if Griffey and a ball game brings that then great for them. Please get off your soapbox. seesh!
I’ll try to be more positive… how about this:
….
WOW! This is awesome, Griffy finally wants to come back after he shafted us and wanted to be traded out! He loves us NOW! I can’t wait to go to Safeco* Field, pay $15 for parking and $125 for my family to get in, and scarf down two pretzels for $28+Tax. This will be awesome!

No Ben, you are still being a Killjoy. Let me suggest this;
WOW! This is awesome, Griffy finally wants to come back to the place so many kids grew up admiring! He appreciates us NOW! I can’t wait to go to Safeco* Field, with my sons, take an metro bus ride, so no parking, bring our own food in, an buy some comparatively inexpensive tickets!
The cheapest tickets I can find are $16 – so $64 for my family of four.
Am I reading that right?
I enjoy the games when one one of my customers takes me, usually to this screwy section where you can’t even walk around without a ticket. I don’t like that aspect of it – Baseball is supposed to be a classless sport IMHO.
….
So for $64 I can go watch some baseball – OR for $60 I can go visit all the national parks for a year.
That sure is a tough choice….
For $64 you could thake the family to the best Sushi resturaunt in the world (for the price) –

There’s probably other ways of spending $64 on Highway 99 if you don’t like sushi.
It is all how you look at it. Some could say, your national park vistis will exceed your $64 cost (gas, pic nic supplies, park entrance fee, ect). Some may say 1 hour of eating raw fish, does not measure up to a lazy July afernoon, watching Jr. hit a majestic hr!.
Not sure where you sit in the stadium, I routinly roam around the entire stadium. My favorite is behing the bull pen to get a close look at the relief pitchers.
As far as spending on HWY 99, not sure that is a good alternative, sounds like you may have your car taken away!
>>sounds like you may have your car taken away!
:)… glad you caught my bad humor!
I think it’s the “Club Level” – you can’t even go and buy from the vendors unless you have seats/tickets for the “Club Level”
….
Don’t get me wrong, people should be able to enjoy what they want to… but $64 seems steep, considering that us taxpayers have already paid for most of the venue.
Aparently – spring training used to be fun: with bleacher seats, cheap hot-dogs and beer. But even that’s getting fancy.
I’m no expert – but do there need to be more teams? Are the owners able to drive up the prices because of artificial scarcity?
