from Inez Petersen: Salt of the earth People
I stopped by this duplex many times over the past year, distributing flyers and speaking to the owners about status of Koelker’s plans to bull doze duplexes. Yes, I’m using the word bull doze, because that is exactly what the mayor, Dan Clawson, and Terri Briere knew was in the works with their planned Declaration of Blight. The couple who owns this property is typical of the salt of the earth people who live in the Highlands, great people, hard working people, patriotic people. The hand of God surely played a part in saving the lives of these property owners and their tenants.
