haha We need to make like “the landing” forum. I just got word that panera bread has pulled out of the lease. 🙁 what a bummer huh?

Panera is a chain, but they do have a nice product. I would have really enjoyed them.
Kent Station is getting a bunch of high end stuff now… perhaps we just need to have patience.
There’s a rumor that the Australian company that runs South Center is putting pressure on chains to not open up at the Landing.
Should the City of Renton sue?

Figured I’d ask you since you know pretty much everything that happens around the Highlands, but…
What was up with the closure of the Union detour to Coal Creek today? I thought it was just something weird this morning, but saw it was still closed when I came home. The sign this morning said “accident investigation”, but I didn’t see any explanation coming back to the Highlands this evening when it was still closed.
Just curious… it was rather a rough start to the day (405 was a mess!)

A tree fell
Yes…I can answer this.
A tree fell across NE 95th way, and took out some power lines in the process. This was unrelated to the constuction on Duvall, but it took out the detour route.
Crews were working all day to clean up the mess. I think it should be open again in the morning (I hope!).

Any chance you could add something to the debrief process after the closure (if one exists) that it would have been great to have signage a bit closer to Sunset? The only notice of the closure was at 95th… could have saved a bit of gas by knowing about it earlier.
