Barack Obama had his first official executive flight, as president elect, on a beautiful Renton-built C-32A… the Air Force nomenclature for a specially designed 757. This aircraft has been part of the official presidential air lift capability for about ten years, but was just recently videotaped by National Geographic for a new special.
The 757s remain popular, reliable and efficient airliners, even though Boeing took them out of production about five years ago.
The multitudes of us who work at Boeing are very proud of the role our airplanes play in official public business and national defense.
